Mary was born in Vancouver and grew up in Port Alberni, moving to Cowichan in 1976. She is survived by her sister Susan Johnson, husband John, daughter Crystal, sons Patrick (Amanda), David (Lindsay) and Chris (Coral) plus many grandchildren. She loved horses and dogs and was never without either. She competed in Western Events in younger years and bred and showed dogs almost all of her life.In her last decade she became active in girl guides both at the executive level and as a guide leader and had great times with all of her girls.Deepest that to Dr. Malherbe and all the nurses and PCA’s at CDH who cared for Mary in her final weeks.

I’m deeply sorry to hear about the death of Mary. I know Mary for many years through dogs, and then again when my granddaughter Brittney was in her Guide Troop.
