October 31, 1945 – June 14, 2024
William (Bill) Joseph Mason, 78, of Duncan, BC, passed away on June 14, 2024, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Grace Mason. A beloved partner, parent, grandparent, and friend, Bill was cherished by all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his loving partner, Caroline Gunderson; his children and grandchildren: Todd (Sid and Freya), Cori (Ryder, Bowen, and Ollie), Joanne (Evan and Lauren), and Julie (Ben).
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Bill spent many happy hours sharing his love for sport with his friends and family. He had a passion for curling and was a longtime member of both the Nanaimo and Duncan Curling Clubs. A devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Bill was rarely seen in public without his red Cardinals jacket.
Bill also had a great appreciation for music, especially the Beatles, a love he passed on to many in his life.
Bill’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed.
At Bill’s request, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Bill’s memory
