Tribute

ANDERSON, Victor David Paul
February 4, 1993 – July 7, 2011
Our beloved, Victor, passed away suddenly in the early hours of July 7 at the age of 18. The communities of Brentwood and Queen of Angels Schools, St. Edward’s Parish, Cowichan Valley and Edmonton grieve this terrible loss along with his family. He leaves to mourn his parents, Egils and Rachel Anderson, his sisters, Emma and Madlen, and his dear relatives in Alberta, California, England, Germany and Latvia. Victor was a man of natural compassion and understanding of heart. He loved BIG. His parents and sisters feel blessed and comforted by the outpouring of love and support from Victor’s friends, teachers, classmates, teammates and neighbours. His Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11AM, Thursday, July 14, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 2085 Maple Bay Road, Duncan, BC. While we grieve for Victor and will miss him always, we are assured of the grace of God who holds him and us in His plan and care. “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” Victor is victorious!

Dear friends,
Please accept my condolences in the loss of your son and brother. I do remember him as a little tyke, especially as the ‘Swing Sisters’ practiced and sang, and he happily amused himself. May the love of family and friends enfold you, hold you close, and seal wonderful memories in your heart forever.

Dearest Egils, Rachel and family,
Just heard the most tragic news and cannot imagine what you all must be going through…
Although we did not know Victor, we’ve read and heard that he was an outstanding young man. If he was anything like his mom and dad, he most certainly will have made anyone who’s life he touched a better person.
Life is a gift and not always very fair…
God’s plan is never very obvious for any of us… hopefully, we make a difference in our short time in this world, until our time comes and we all meet again in God’s kingdom…
Our thoughts and prayers are with you always,

Jean and Helene and the entire Szaszkiewicz family who love and think of you often

Our hearts are breaking with yours. May God, the Father of us all hold you all tightly in His arms even as He welcomes Victor. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
John, Kathi, David, Adam & Karen, Ruth (and grandkids)
