Robert (Bob) Sherman Miller
Born Oct 23, 1944 – Died Jan 20, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Miller after long battle with lung cancer. Bob will always be remembered as a strong and courageous man who loved his family very much. He had an incredible sense of humour which he held on to until the very end.
Bob was born in Victoria, BC and is predecesed by his mother Peggy and father Sherman and many aunts and uncles from the Wilkinson Family and his beloved little dog Teddy. Bob is survived by his wife Olga, daughter Amica Sturdy, Sister Margaret (nee Wilkinson) (Terry) Rogers and brother David and many nieces and nephews.
Bob worked as a pipefitter in many different places throughout Canada. Most recently Bob resided in the Cowichan Valley with his wife and dog. He enjoyed golfing and fishing with his many friends he made along the way.
A special thank you to Dr. Masada, Carlon, Liam and Susan and the many nurses, friends and family who were of great help and support.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Cancer Society for research and development will be appreciated.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday Feb. 9, 2019 at Arbutus Ridge Golf Club @ 1pm with a reception to follow.

Olga, I am very sad to say that due to the weather I was unable to get to the island in time for the celebration of life for a great man who I loved and respected very much. I have many fond memories fishing and on the golf course with Bob and friends. Bob was the only man I knew that could hit his golf ball so far in the bush and always find it. i am sure he had a hole in his pocket and dropped a new one out. My deepest Sympathies to you and all of your extended families.
