Michael Barry passed away July 5th, 2021. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Madeline Barry, by his granddaughter Ashley Barry, and by his wife Barbara (nee Greentree), still missed by his family after all these years.
Michael is survived by his wife and best friend Patricia Barry (nee Hugo) and by his much-loved children Heather (Frank) Beltrano, Mark (Kathy) Barry, Trisha (Rob) Huff, son Michael, and ten grandchildren – Vincent, Nicholas and Jon Beltrano, Katy and Matt Barry, Christian, Logan and Julian Huff, Devin and Maddy Barry, together with three stepdaughters: Cheryl Geoghegan, Leanne Greentree, and Laurie Oehlers and their families.
Michael was born August 4th, 1936 in Goderich, Ontario, and grew up in Illinois. He graduated from both Washington and Lee University, and from the University of Michigan where he earned an MBA degree and was an award-winning distance runner during his school year.
Michael served in the U. S. Army, retiring as a Captain (USAR). His working career concentrated on the areas of Marketing, market research and advertising.
There will be a memorial service at St. Francis Xavier Church at a later date, and a graveside service at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Naperville, Illinois.
