Early: Mary Kathleen. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary, on Nov. 13, 2011. Born on March 8, 1924 in Kitchener, Ontario. Leaving behind her best friend of over 80 years and loving husband, Bob. Along with her children, Philip, Cathy, Margaret (Ian), Sue (Dan), five loving grandson, Doug (Nicole) James, Philip, Don (Jaymee) and Rob. Predeceased by her only sibling, Betty Kelly.
Mary graduated from Toronto General Hospital’s nursing program in 1946 and moved to Victoria in 1971. She volunteered with Alec Campbell for Thrifty’s in Fairfield and Thrifty’s Send Dial until 2003 in Mill Bay. She also volunteered with the Royal Jubilee Hospital Auxiliary. Mom also enjoyed her many dear friends from Stitch. Thank you to ER staff, Dr. Lowther, Dr. Klopper, Dr. Reynolds and 2nd floor nursing staff for all being so compassionate and caring.
