Lovina Pasetka
August 27, 1928 - December 22, 2024
Tribute
Lovina passed away peacefully December 22, 2024 at Sunridge Place, Duncan, B.C.
Lovina was born to Helen and Jacob Schmidt in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her parents, husband John, siblings Eddie, Edna, Donald and niece Laura.
She is survived by Son Edward (Mary), Daughter Susan (Drew Peterson) Klasen, Grandsons Bradley (Becky) and David Klasen, Jason Pasetka, Great grandsons Carston and Caleb Klasen, Brother Robert (Irene), Son in law Charlie Klasen, special friend Marianne and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom had an outgoing personality and always welcomed family and friends into her home, a pot of coffee was always on. She did have health issues for most of her life, but always had a smile on her face and never complained. As her health decreased even more mom’s favorite saying for even just trying to pick up her coffee cup was “If there’s a will there’s a way”. Even though mom couldn’t read sheet music she could play the piano just by listening to a song. Anyone who knew her, knew that she loved wearing her earrings! Her caregivers always made sure she was wearing some.
Mom touched many lives with her kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her. Mom we will miss you but you are pain free and with your angels.
The family would like to thank the Wonderful Care Aides and Staff at Sunridge Place which she called home for the last 4+ years and Dr. Wenzel-Smith for all her care and compassion to mom.
In lieu of flowers.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Relation: Ex mother in law
My condolences and deepest sympathies in the loss of your wonderful mom, Lovina. What a super lady. As her former son-in-law she was always the sweetest and a joy to be with, and later on, such a good and caring Grandma too. This legend of a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother will be sorely missed.
From: Gael Ellis

I express my deepest sympathy in this time of great sorrow. The Bible gives a very comforting hope that your loved one will come to life again on a peaceful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29 and Acts 24:15.
