Tribute
ROBSON, JOHN
August 4, 1926 – September 10, 2018
Dad’s final wish was granted in the late morning of Monday, September 10, 2018 when he quietly and peacefully slipped away to join Mom for eternity. We thank the special staff of Sunridge Place for their care and compassion ensuring his final years were comfortable.
Dad was born and raised and forever remained in Duncan. He entered the forest industry at the young age of 14 and made it a lifelong career retiring as the owner/operator of T.K.R. Logging in the late 1990’s. With his trusty Kenworth “Emma” he headed off to jobs in Ucluelet, Merritt, Sechelt and Pemberton and quickly became a part of these communities. He was well respected both on and off the road and forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. We will all miss his devilish smile, his fantastic sense of humor and the “cocktail hour”.
John’s life changed forever when his wife of 55 years, Olive, passed away in May 2008. Left to mourn his passing are his children Rocky (Ann), Cindy (Nelson) and Vicki (Fred); his cherished grandchildren Tawnya Robson, Kylie Robson, Taylor Robson (Kamana); Tara Green-Webber (Mike), Jeff Janzen (Lisa), Kenzie Janzen and great-grandson, Miller Janzen – all of who he was fiercely proud of.
Dad lived an active and adventurous life. We invite you to join us to celebrate his life on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 1:00 at H. W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road, Duncan BC. For those wishing, donations to your preferred charity are appreciated in lieu of flowers.

Uncle John had a heart that was huge along with a sense of humour that was hard to match. He will be warmly remembered and missed. Love to Rocky, Cindy and Vicki and their families.

Our sincere condolences to all the family. There is one heck of a reunion being held in heaven as the Valleaus and Robsons are back together. As you well know. the friendship began in school and lasted a lifetime; Mom and Dad knew they were always welcome to park their motor home in your parents yard, it didn’t matter if it was for a short or long stay, the welcome mat was out!
Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Our sincere sympathy for your loss. Johnny was a true gentleman, and definitely one of a kind. Proud to have known him and had Johnny pass through our lives. Sincerely, Dave and Sandy Carrie
