James Jordan

Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, James John Ellis Jordan(JJ) on May 7, 2017. He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years Jean and mother and father, Mae and Red Jordan. Surviving him is his sister Sonja Blundell(Ed) and brother Ken Jordan(Diane), daughter, Keri Murray (Graeme Tiarnan) and their children Sophia and Hanna, son Donnie(Denise) and their children Dustin and Sydney, stepson Kevin (Melody) Kyle as well as many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Jim started his working years at Nitinat driving logging truck. Later on he worked as a heavy duty mechanic for several logging outfits. In his younger years he enjoyed camping on Tent island with family and friends. He was a lifetime Kinsmen member and enjoyed the volunteer aspect as well as the social one.
In his later years he and Jean gave up the boat for a trailer and spent many happy summers in Honeymoon Bay. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their many sporting events, rain or shine.
It was JJ’s wish to have a Celebration of Life. It will be held on May 20th, 2017 at the Duncan Lodge, 2244 Moose Road from 2-6pm. Please bring a story that JJ would love to share with family and friends.
Many thanks to all the nurses on the second floor at Cowichan District Hospital, Dr. Manhas and friends and family.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be greatly appreciated.

For KerrI and Donnie, I always was envious that you had JJ as a Dad. For all his faults, he was so much better than mine. Your Dad always made me feel safe and loved. I loved Tent Island camping and hanging around with our “regular crew” of the Beggs boys, Lisa and I, and you and Donnie. Please feel free to contact me and reconnect. JJ leaves a large empty space knowing he is gone and we have run out of “tomorrows” to go see him. HE loved you two deeply. I know his passing will impact you two and your kids. Hold your heads high that for all lives he has touched, yours are the most imprtant.
