George Robert Fusco
Tribute
FUSCO, George Robert, passed away October 11, 2024 at the age of 89 years. Survived by his loving wife Helen of 52 years and predeceased by his daughter Coleen.
George was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. As a young man, he came to Canada and joined the Toronto Boxing Club 1953-1955 and sparred with George Chuvalo.
Returned to Ireland and enjoyed playing rugby in Newtownards and golf in Hollywood, Co. Down. Next, he travelled widely working in New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.
In 1972 he and his wife returned to live in South Africa for six years.
Retired to Vancouver Island in 1991 and loved fishing, golfing and walking his dogs.
Wish to thank all the staff at the Hamlets for their care, support and compassion which made his final journey comfortable and peaceful.
